Hi ...

I'm trying to connect MsSQL to MSDE, but i'm facing some problem here.. Can
anyone over there help me to solve this problem ??

here r the msg that prompted out..
"SQL State:42000, SQL Error Code:18452.
Login failed for user 'xxx'. Reason: Not Associated with a trusted SQL
Server connection."..

Ur help is appreciated.. thx in advance..

SQLServer / MSDE has two login arrangements.
1. Where users supply Login Name and Password to SQL Server as they log in (to SQL Server).
2. Where SQL Server allows logged in NT Users that it knows about to log in.

You are obviously running the second scenario.

Changing to the first is one solution. I can't remember how to do it off hand and it may be a set-at-install-only option. SQL Server has a few of those.

Sticking with the second option, ensure that the current NT login name is also a login name for SQL Server. I think that the passwords need to be set and be the same too.

For further info I suggest Microsoft's (lots of) words rather than mine. Try:

Good luck
Simon
