Connect to Mapped network drive pre-login?

Does anyone know how I can set NT4 to connect a shared network folder as a mapped network driver without anyone logging in 1st?

This is because I've the server is set to automatically re-boot once a week, but if this happens, the backup software can't backup a mapped network drive without me logging on 1st.

run a scheduled task on the machine to reconnect post reboot
or get the backup software to run a script pre backup so it verifies it's drives and if there are not there it tries to reconnect
