We have an exchange 2003 server and would like to do the following.
We would to connect with for example Outlook or Outlook Express from an external location. Does anybody know how to do this? And what steps to take?

rpc-over-http, google microsoft, you will have lots of KB for how-to.

Do you want to use Outlook Web Access? If so it was installed by default. Unfortunately that is what I am trying to find out, how to setup for external, secure use.

If you just want to use Outlook 2000/2003, then I would recommend a using a VPN connection to your office.
