Connect to Excel Spreadsheet

I'm using Crystal Reports 2016 (32-bit) and trying to connect to spreadsheets created in Microsoft 365 (64-bit). The original reports were created with CR 2016 and Microsoft Office 2016. Now that we've updated to Microsoft 365 the Microsoft Office 12.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB (ADO) is no longer available. Does anyone know of a work around for this issue? Will upgrading to the newest version of Crystal Reports fix this problem?

What we have to do is create a ODBC connection using the Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls, *.xlsx, *.xlsm, *.slsb), we are currently using verson 16.00.14701.20038.
 
You'll need to download the 32-bit Access driver and install it to get access to your spreadsheet. You can get it from here:
The challenge is going to be whether your O365 is 32-bit or 64-bit (the software, not the computer!). If it's 64-bit, you'll get an error when you try to install the 32-bit version of the driver without jumping through a couple of hoops. has good information about what you need to do in order to get the 32-bit driver to install when 64-bit Office is already installed.
