I've been given the task of creating a script that automatically downloads a file from a unix server to a windows box each night.

The problem is, they don't want to use FTP, and I am only really familiar with VBScript.

Can you guys point me in the right direction? What language am I going to have to use? Is this even possible? How do I specify HTTP?

Anything would help. . .

Thanks in advance!

Try looking at the Samba collection. In particular smbclient can be used to transfer files between the OS's, but beware the CR/LF issue.
