We are in the process of moving off of our Option 61C to 3CX. Would it be possible, before we do the full cut over, to trunk the two systems together? I see in 3CX how to do it, but how would I go about this in the Option 61C? We will have a Patton SmartNode 4110. We are on VERSION 1811 RELEASE 22 ISSUE 46.

As you have an Option 61c, I would have thought that your options will be limited to only being able to connect the two systems together via a PRI link.

We currently have a Cisco 2800 routing calls via an 6666 route. I have never done anything with routes/trunks before so no idea how to approach this.

I would imagine that your Cisco 2800 is linked to a PRI card on the Nortel system for your digital channels.

Ok did some tracking down.

It is indeed in the PRI card. We have a CDP that routes calls. So our idea is to swap out the Cisco VoIP router with a Patton PRI Gateway (instead of the Analog VoIP Gateway). Would this theoretically work without changing anything on the Nortel side?

Yes, I think this would work as long as the new router is using the same configuration as was present on the Cisco router.
