I am having difficulty connecting a robotics modem to the maint. port on a mitel sx-200 icp. I have used a serial cable with a null modem and have programmed the modem with
the appropiate string,(below is the string I used) but when dialing in cannot get it to paint the screen......can anyone give me the specifics? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

CONNECTING A MODEM TO AN SX-200 ICP
1. You will need a null modem adapter to connect via modem.
2. The documentation states you should use 9600 baud, 7 bits, space parity, 1stop bit. It is 96 00 baud but you must use the usual 8-n-1.
3. Procomm Settings:
Port Settings – Speed 9600 baud; Flow Control – DISABLED; Data protocol – disabled; compression – disabled.
4. US ROBOTICS MODEM SETTINGS:
Switches – 1 (DTR Override), and 4 (no echo offline commands)and 7 in the down position. The rest are up. Switch 4 must be down or it may cause the 200icp to stop the boot process on power up.
NVRAM SETTINGS:
These should be set as follows:
&A0(ARQ result codes disabled); &B1(Fixed serial port rate); &C1(Normal CD Operations);&D2(Normal dtr); &G0 ; &H0 (Flow control disabled); &I0 (software flow control disabled); &K0 (data compression disabled); &M0 (normal mode,error control disabled); &N6 (Fixed 9600 baud); &P0; &R1 (Ignore rts); &S0 (DSR override, always on); &T5 ; U0; Y1.
(ATI4 Displays current settings. AT precedes the above settings ie AT&A1…..just in case you forgot.
