Connect MDB with Quickbooks Pro 2003

I have read several articles say that Quickbooks is open source software. I believe that means that i can connect my MDB with Quickbooks. I have already tried doing this and it is a very slow process of me trying to connect my MDB using Quickbooks SDK. If it is possible please make a sample databse that connects with Quickbooks Pro 2003 using SDK 2.0. If u successfully make the database and is able to explain a few concepts over the phone or through email some money may be given to you to thank you for your time.
