We have an application where we'd like to connect a Magix Rel 1.5 with a 100 DS1 card to a PBX in the same room.

The other PBX (a Rolm) has a RJ48 off the swith cable. Can we just put a cross over cable between the RJ48 and the DS1 card in the Magix?

What programming is necessary in the Magix to have this work as Tie lines?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about the ROLM but the crossover pinouts for a magix to magix is as follows..

RJ45 1 RJ45 2
1-----------------------------------------5
2-----------------------------------------4
4-----------------------------------------2
5-----------------------------------------1

As far as assigning the magix as tie lines....After you program the framing..supression..ect..it's all under lines/trunks...ls/gs/ds1......type..T1....and then all tie.

After that..you tweak the tie lines under lines/trunks...tie lines...You can assign them wink/rotary..immediate/TT however you wish...type of Tie trunk...ect. All you need to do is match the ROLM. Should be simple enough.
