Connect.it and IDD 1

Hi,

Can some one help me with some problems that we have with Connect.it (V2.50) and IDD (V6.3) - in to Asset Center (V.3.6) :-

1) Serial Numbers - 3 types of Docking station. Old stations have small serial numbers, new ones have large serial numbers. When looking at the FSF there is nothing there. but in some instances the MAC address was appearing in the serial number.

2) Monitors - when can't scan the monitor we would import manual entries in to Asset Center but when the IDD scan is done again, the details are over written.

3) Improve Error logging - when an error occurs it is written to the error log for Connect.it - can the errors be emailed automatically to a specific address?

I can help you with one of the items at least: In the new v7.0 of Desktop Inventory (replacing IDD), the scanners automatically detect monitor characteristics, including serial numbers - as well as a long list of other new hardware fields.
