Hello,

What setting shortens (or lengthens) the dialing time for a TDE system?
We upgraded our TDE to a NSX2000 / NS1000 system and for some reason, after dialing an external number, it take quite a long time for the call to go through.
Of course, hitting the # key ends the dialing string. But I can't recall how to change the time in the system.

Thanks!

The inter digit timer for second dial can be changed. Default is 10 seconds I wouldn’t change it below 5 or a person dialling slow will have loads of mis dial. Best way to do it is to use dial plan. So if dialling area code 0123 followed by 7 digits. Enter in the dial plan 0123XXXXXXX, this will send the number as soon as it hits the 7th x after someone dials 0123. You can have a few entries which will cover most options. International dialling can be an issue if you don’t want to have s load of entries you could have 00 followed by 14 X’s ans will use the timer if shorter
