Connect An Access point

Hi All
Can someone help with this please
I have a Laptop I have set the ip address too 192.168.1.118
sub 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.1.254
Attacted to the laptop is a USRobotics Wireless Access point ip set at 192.168.1.125 sub 255.255.255.0 Gateway 192.168.1.254
I can pickup the main Billion Wireless Modem Router ip 192.168.1.254
I can pickup both the USRobotics + The Billion Modem using the web browser
but from the laptop I cannot go on to the Internet
