Is it possible to connect a 3300 to a Nortel BCM 400 using Qsig? If so how? I've worked with both systems for years, but have never tried this before. Thanks!
I don't think the QSig congiguration is possible. Why not use PRI or T1 CAS configured as E&M. If it's not possible to configure the Miter as the network side on a PRI, you could use a gateway device between them. One option there would be a voice-enabled router to transcode the protocols.
QSIG won't work on a BCM in the north american market profile. If you're not in NA, then there shouldn't be any problem assuming you have the MCDN/QSIG keycode on your system.
Do like acejavlin said
QSIG is designed for connecting various systems with a common standardized protocol. Mitel and Nortel support this protocol. Do a PRI in both systems. You need to provide clocking on both systems. Set clocking on one as the master and the other as the secondary for your signaling. You'll need to program as necessary for Dins etc. If setup correctly each system will act as a CO to one another.
You will need the MCDN/QSIG keycode like biv343 said for the BCM
