Mu boss purchased (2) 333T's. I am trying to implement it into our current network. We have some small switches
(1) Hawking PN1600ES
(1) Hawking PN636ES
(1) SMC 1016DT

Only the PN1600Es has an available uplink port, I tried a straight through and a crossover to the 333T, can't get a link.
Can't find anything in the documentation on how to uplink to other switches.

Any suggestions?

TIA,

Surely it must work without any fancy configs. Make sure you have an 100MB crossover cable and not a 10MB crossover cable.

pairs 4,5,7 and 8 must also be connected to work.
Check the HardwareBook it shows the layout.

Sorry, I got it to work by using a X-over, disabled auto sensing on the port. Which doesn't make sense cuz other switches are.

Now my problem (although settled down somewhat) has been pc's on other switches falling off network. NIC swapping, port swapping. Sometimes been able to get them to work on Cajun, others not...

Thanks again.

Disabling autosense could drop it to 10MB and then your 1,2,3,6 X-over cable will work , this can make an bottle-neck !

Try the 100MB x-over cable
1 - 2
2 - 1
3 - 6
4 - 4
5 - 5
6 - 3
7 - 7
8 - 8

make sure 4,5,7,8 are connected else it won't work.

Regards
Len
