I am new to a phone system. I like to connect Nec NEAX2000 IVS phone switch to the outgoing (2) Single Analog telephone lines.
a) Do I need to use any port like MDF LTC0 ports?
b) Currently Our Voice mail System is connected to Neax 2000 phone switch by using RVS cable on MCI port of AP00-A card.
Do I need to connect above switch to VM system by using LTC0 port other than RVS cable as I mentioned above?

Please provide me the instructions.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you wanting to connect 2 SLT phones? Who or what will use these ports?

More info please...

Harry,

Your Voice mail has single line ports connect them to the single line ports of you phone system. Using the connection ports of the LTC. Need to get a manual to see hwat ports for the slot

neax,

I am not able to call outside of our building from Dterm Series E phones. But I am able call from one extension to an other by using above switch. With your help, I am able to connect VM system to 2000 IVS phone system.
I like to call to out side by using Single Telophone lines , which can be connected to Phone switch OR VM system.
I have read in the manual that we can use single telephone lines to connect to the SBC telephone network.
Can you please give me the advice to connect either phone switch or VM system to the incoming/outgoing Single telophone lines?

Please let me know.

Thanks for great help.

Harry,

Not sure I understand the question. Are you saying NOBODY can call OUTSIDE the PBX?

Yes, No one can call outside.

Thanks

What kind of Trunks do you have (loop, ground, T1)?

If analog, did you try to call out from Telco DMARC?

What trunk route in the PBX are you using?

Are you using LCR (Least Cost Routing)?

Can you get calls into the PBX?

What do you dial to dial out? AND What does that equal in Command 200?

Neax,

Q:What kind of Trunks do you have (loop, ground, T1)?
1. We have PN-4COTB Trunk card to communicate to outside phones. Since I new, I like to know how to connect above trunk card with Central Office analog phone lines.

2.If analog, did you try to call out from Telco DMARC?
Are you talking about Voice Mail syste, telco port?
3. What trunk route in the PBX are you using?
Can you please send me the command to find the trunk route and LCR?

4. Can you get calls into the PBX?
I am able to call PBX to modem.
5. What do you dial to dial out? AND What does that equal in Command 200? I dial 9 for outside call . Please give me the process to run command 200.

Thanks for great help.

Harry,

a card that has 4LC_ or 8LC_ the LC indicates that it is a Single line card Analog station card. The 4 or * indicate number of ports the card controls. to connect your Phone you need to know what slot the card is in and what type of PIM (cabinet). With this knowledge you will know what port or pairs to terminate to.
As for these phones dialing out of the switch what method do other phones use. i.e. 9 + the phone number.

Mextra,

Thanks fror great help.
