Hi,

Can some one help me with congestion control on ethernet frames. How can I discard the frames when there is a congestions. Voice traffic shouldn't be dropped, but the data traffic can be dropped. On a layer 3 we have DSCP markings.

Thanks,
Neto

Your switch could "trust DSCP" in order to map your Layer3 QoS into CoS.
Then enable QoS on your switchports.

Are u talking about 802.1p, setting priority bits based on the DSCP markings.

Thanks,
Vinu
