I type this in my Select Expert in parentheses so it recognizes it is two separate conditions.
(Effective Date in Date(2002,01,01) to Date(2002,12,31) and Status = "Committed") and
(Effective Date in Date(2002,01,01) to Date(2003,01,06)and Status = "Sold")

However, when I hit Accept, the Select Expert shows:
Effective Date in Date(2002,01,01) to Date(2002,12,31) and
Effective Date in Date(2002,01,01) to Date(2003,01,06)and
Status = "Sold" and
Status = "Committed"

and so my report shows no data.

If tried parentheses around the 2 criteria...however am I missing something. Why doesn't the report recognize the criteria the way I want it to.

Thanks

Try OR instead of and

(Effective Date in Date(2002,01,01) to Date(2002,12,31) and Status = "Committed") OR(Effective Date in Date(2002,01,01) to Date(2003,01,06)and Status = "Sold")

Use Record Selection Formula rather than the select expert.

The OR clause makes this formula too complicated for the Select Expert, while the formula edit can easily do exactly what you want. Editor and Publisher of Crystal Clear
