In the device manager on my NT server, it says that Compaq Smart Array 5x Controller is not working properly.
but, right below it it says that there is a RAID controller and that it is working properly. I need some assistance on what I should do from here. Your attention is most appreciated.

what does the compaq utilities say

ie cpiml and the array utilities
these will be correct rather than m$ tools and logs

you may also want to check you have the latest compaq support pack installed as this will update the drivers
