Hi,

Am preparing for 70-291 exam and I founding this concepts diffucult to understand:

1- If DHCP Relay agent is enabled on a Server 2003 computer with RRAS enabled, all interfaces will use the DHCP server IP configured on the server. My question is: Is the interface(s) mentioned here refering to the IP addresses configured on a particular NIC or all NICs enabled on the server.
2. In a multihomed server 2003 computer, IPs on an interface cant be RIP neighbours because they sharing the same routing table.

Sorry for the poor wording, saw these concepts from sybex 70-291 CD bonus exam 1.

Thax in advance for the clarifications.

I think, based on your comment, that they are referring to configuring RRAS to use a specific DHCP server for serving up addresses coming in through DHCP.

Does that make sense? Did I misunderstand your question?

I think my coment was poorly done. Wanted to say:

1. If you are having a multi-subnetted network with one DHCP server and the router between the subnets is a Windows server 2003 configured as a DHCP Relay Agent. The book states: If an interface is configured on the RRAS as DHCP relay agents then all interfaces will forward their IP request to the DHCP server specified on this interface. My question is, Does the interface here meaning all the NICs installed on the RRAS server or just all IPs configured on this NIC.

Confused
