Hi All,
To give you all a brief, I am building a site that caters for holiday accomodation. I am looking to have a substanial database of holiday homes that can be searched through. ie number of bedrooms, pool, availability dates, location etc etc. My questions are:
I have started to learn ASP 3 using VBscript and to be honest I am finding it a bit daunting. I also have Access 2003 professional and was wondering how good it is for web applications.
Is it as flexible as ASP/VBscript?
How easy is it to learn and use?
Can I upload my databases to the server and have full search criteria, is it possible?
Am I better with Visual basic software?
How well does it intergrate with Dreamweaver MX?

You can no doubt see how confused I am on the best route to take.
I am not looking for the easy way out here, I am self taught and have a good knowledge of html and some JavaScrpit. I am just needing some expert guidance on the best route to take.
I would welcome any suggestions.
Thanks in advance,
Mears

I would suggest asking this question in a web development forum. I love Access but I don't recommend it for creating web applications.

Do you know what technologies your web host exposes to you? I prefer ColdFusion but this isn't always an option. If you know something about Access, consider building in .net. I don't think any web develop tools are "easy to learn".
