In my app I have a form which has a property of modal = .t.

However when I get to this form in my program (prg) the command after the form is run straight away.

I created a new form and copied the contents of the old form to it in the hope this would cure the behaviour but it did not.

Under what circumstances can a program 'flow' after a modal form is called?

I am frustrated as my form requires an input of new values which are used later in the program and are not being 'collected' before that next command runs.

Hope someone can give me a clue.

Regards

Thanks MDG

I have just found a container underlying the one I was using. Removing that means everything is OK.

The property making a form modal is not .model, that is not a native foxpro property, it must be user-defined. To make a form modal you set it's WindowType = 1 (Modal).

The only kind of form not running modal, even if you set their WindowType=1 are top level forms, that is forms with ShowWindow = 2 (As Top-Level Form).

Bye, Olaf.
