Confused...Auto Update Architect vs EPO 1

I'm trying to decide which products I need to be using to properly set up McAfee in my company (we're corporately licences for the AVD suite).

What's confusing me is do I need Auto Update Architect or do you only use that if not using EPO? Reading the product guides I can't see that AUA offers anything that you can't do with EPO 3 - am I missing something or is this the intention?

MAA (McAfee Autoupdate Architect) was developed prior to ePO 3 and is for use with ePO 2.x setups. ePO 3 has MAA integrated into it. Hope this helps.
