Confused about MetaFrame XP licences ..

Hi,

I have Citrix Metaframe XP. Everything works fine except when I try to shadow a user I get the following message:

"the system was unable to acquire a citrix product code" make sure the IMA service is running.

All my licences are in and activated, the IMA service is running too.

I tried the resolution that citrix offered which was to "set MetaFrame Product Code".

But it still happens.

Does anyone know what is going on here.

The following licences are installed and activated.

1. Metaframe Connection
2. MetaFrame 1.0 English For Windows
3. Reserved Option Pack
4. MetaFrame 1.0 English For Windows - Terminals Edtion.

Can anyone shed light on this issue.

Have you installed FR1 or FR2 ?
If you do not have a Feature Release license installed, right-click the server in the left pane of the Citrix Management Console, select Set Feature Release Level, and set the Feature Release Level to None

Hi,

I have no option for this on the menu, I only have the following:

- Refresh "servername"
- Set MetaFrame Product Code
- Remove Server From Farm
- Update Printer and Driver Information
- Properties

What does this mean then, if I don't have that option?

Try removing the licenses then re-adding them. The product code should be installed automatically with the licenses - maybe you skipped over both during the initial installation?

Well, I think that has cracked it, is it possible to put the wrong product code in? maybe thats what I did.

I see now that there is more options available within the management console, IE .. Load Manager etc.

I have no Idea what I did the first time.
