We are trying to utilize Single Sign-On using Kerberos and receiving the following error. Any ideas?

Using BO XI with Windows 2003 SP1.

"Error updating Windows AD authentication properties: The SecWinAD security plugin is not available" on the Windows AD tab under "Authentication" in the CMC.

Thanks

the error above indicates that the Active Directory plugin has not been installed and / or configured. I believe it's not installed as the default, and needs to be installed separately.

If you confirm you have installed it i can perhaps suggest a couple of other things

Thanks for that info. We configured the plugin and seemed to get farther along, however now the following error appears. Surely appreciate any help you can provide! The error message is below ...

Error updating Windows AD authentication properties: The secWinAD plugin failed to look up the account for the group "secWinAD:CN=MS2-COG-Finance-General,OU=Cognos,OU=Groups,OU=xxxxxx,OU=SS,DC=xxxxxx,DC=com:". Please enter non-local groups as DomainName\GroupName and local groups as \\ServerName\GroupName.

First, ensure that the Windows AD Configuration Summary is populated with a vaild AD Administration Name and Default AD Domain.

When entering the Mapped AD Member Groups you need to enter the FULL name of the Group including the Domain name (Domain\Group).

Example
=======
DomainName\MS2-COG-Finance-General

P.S. - nice to see that you are pulling COGNOS groups into BOBJ, are take it you are jumping ship....
