Can speed dials be configured / re-configured directly through the GUI, or is this something which has to be done on the router? I have a customer in the UK who wants a speed dial replaced on their list, but I can't find it in CME.

Thanks to all in advance

Yes you can give them "user" access in the GUI and they can manage their own speed dial list.

the user can access the gui on this address:
"
Just remember that his phone needs to have the phone button template with speed dials enable.

Caos is the natural order of things...

Thank you all. I had no idea ccmuser was also integrated into CME. I thought that was just a call manager feature.

Thanks to all.

Actually, nevermind. ccmuser isn't setup on this CME. But they have a speeddial list of 18 lines.

I cannot access manager IP>/ccmuser
I recieve:
type Status report

message /ccmuser/logon.asp

description The requested resource (/ccmuser/logon.asp) is not available.

is this somthing that is enabled by default or do I need to turn it on. I would like to enable my users to create speed dials or modify their personal directory.

Restart the tomcat server and make sure that the end user is part of the appropiate group.

Caos is the natural order of things...

Sorry I meant Cisco Tomcat service...

I'd have to think it would be on the router. CME doesn't utilize servers. It's only a router, switch and GUI.

sorry, I found the service, but the option to restart/stop is greyed out.

Ok, found it. This is done on the router. Just completed the changes. It cannot be completed via GUI on CME.

Thanks for helping :)

Sure it can, if you have CUE. Browse to whatever address you normally use to access the GUI but log in using the user credentials instead of your admin account. User will have a sub-set of the admin functions, by clicking Configure -> Phone they can add speed dials and other stuff.
