Tring to test and configure exchange 2000. Have a test domain called gifted1 I am trying to test Internet mail. I registered at gifted1.homeisp.net. I can send mail out to the internet but when they reply no mail comes back. The reply address is correct by sending it to someone@gifted1.homeisp.net but no mail makes it to the box. There server is open to all ports for testing and you can ping the name but still no mail comes back to me. at Dyndns.com I have forwarded all traffice mail and web back to the IP. I think I maybe missing something it he exchange setup. Anyhelp would be great. Thanks!

You could try telneting to port 25 on your server from an external machine. Pinging will only tell you that the machine exists, telenet will tell you if the correct port is open and let you know if your firewall is set up correctly. Other than that it could be a proble with the MX records pointing to the wrong location.
Not good security, but if you dont have an external shell account or PC and you dont posting the IP on here, I'll happily telnet to it for you. Cheers,
Jamie
