I am trying to configure SFU to see AIX from Win XP. First I have problems configuring the "Server for PCNFS" service. When I select it I get "The group file at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etcgroup has entries which are not in the required format-please correct the file". same for passwd file. I tried to find a sample file to see how to get the right format, but no luck. Initially I copied the ones from AIX but it seems are not in the right format. Anybody can help me? Second, I can map the AIX nfs mount points in WinXP using mapping option, but I can't get into them when I click on the folder. I get "You might not have permission to use this network resource....". Suppose is related to the first issue.

Thank you for help

SFU will only be usefull on your PC.
If you use samba is will be usefull for all the PCs.

Samba is working well to map a UNIX ressource to WINDOWS.
But you need to install a product on your AIX BOX instead of your XP BOX.

thank you for replay. I was looking on samba.org and I couldn't find samba for AIX in the download section.
