Hi People,
Am a little confused at present as there is so much I want to do with my home network but dont know where to start!!
So heres hoping you can help!!! *
Ok...
I am running my server on Win2k server that is running DHCP, etc.. with a scope of 156.1.1.11 to 156.1.1.254 for clients and 156.1.1.1 to 156.1.1.10 is assigned for the server.
I also have a desktop pc, laptop and pda...
At present I have been connecting my desktop / laptop / server through a allied telsyn 24 port switch to share files and access my server drives from my desktop / laptop etc via a 100mbps cable network.... but since have bought a PDA I thought it is a good time to change things *
So what I want to do is the following:
- Share my broadband connection (NTL Cable) over my network
- Create a wireless access point so that I can access my server / broadband connection via my pda wireless card
- Create a VPN once my server is put online so that I can access my server away from home via pda / laptop
and finally I dont want to spend much money either *
Any advice appreciated!
Scott.
