Hi, I need some help.Working on an Opt61 running Succession 4.
I am trying to configure a PRI without configuring a D Channel.I want to use all 24 channels to connect to a third party VoIP Gateway to allow us to dial out via the internet using the channels of the PRI
I have configured the route in LD 16 ,but when I try configuring the channels in LD 14. I am geting some SCH errors indicating that it is looking for a D-Channel.

ISDN-PRI NEEDS A D-CHANNEL TO FUNCTION NO WAY AROUND IT

Is there any reason you can't set the T1 up as DTI instead of PRI .

you'll need to take it back out of the cequ and put it back in to change that. if the far end has a d, then you have to have one.. pri uses 23 channels each 64k plus the d, 64k.. 1.54 meg.. a t1 uses 24 channels each 64 k but does inband setup and tear down and it uses 8k per channel for signaling. the overhead on a t1 is 192k as compared to 64 on a d.. not a problem, no way to notice if all your calls are voice.. fax/data/dial-up etc are faster on a pri, 56k max for a t1, 64k max for a pri.. and of course a pri can have channels bonded.. you can use as many channels as you need for a vidio conf.. you need bri setup for that
