Ok I am use to working on MICS and CICS and I have worked on BCM 50's but I am having a problem configuring this 10 year old BCM 400.

I have access to everyting all the PW and such but I can not configure the T7316 sets for options like LINE POOLS, ETC.. I can;t seem to even find the configuration menus for LINES.

What menu should I be in. I have given my user ID all access to all programs. I done this on BCM 50 but can;t find this on this unit.

P.S. I even tried configuring from the set via F**266344 but nothing.

I think I might answer my own question but should I be logging into a program called Element Manager?

I recall this program but I do not see this selection from the BCM Main Menu screen. If this is the correct program for configuring set and lines and other mics configs how would I find this program?

Thanks

you can access the phone system side via set programming but the pswd isn't config it's something else. We cannot give out pswds on this site but I'm sure you can goggle it of talk to somebody who can tell you.

I tried F**266344 but it did not ask for a password.

telset programming isn't supported on pre 4.0 systems. It corrupts the database. The bcm gets corrupted enough on it's own. Don't help it. Use the unified manager. You will need to uninstall the latest java, and install an older version. I think 1.5 works.

I've programmed little changes via set programming many mant times and never had any issues, Nortel used to say it's not supported but that doesn't mean it can't be done. The pswd isn't CONFIG it's something else as I stated above and it always worked like a charm for me. Maybe I just got lucky?

What section do I look under to find out what what SW level I am working with?

I wouldn't use the telset on pre 4.0 either. I have seen them get corrupted.
you can download Element Manager via the BCM tho it will be and older version.

stick you laptop on lan 1 or 2 ( you need to set your nic within that network)

Default BCM400 IP's
Lan 1 10.10.10.1
Lan 2 10.10.11.1

URL to the BCM IP adrress and download Element Manager. You might have a Java issue if you don't see everything in EM.

good luck

It's only dialtone!!!

What type of corruption did you get using telset on pre-4.0? Not to argue but i did program a lot of Bcm's thru telset on pre-4.0 and i never got any issue, maybe i was just lucky..!

I had my taget lines config- receive digits get all wacked out one time. No idea why it chose target lines.
So I just used EM after that. This was on a 400 none of the 50's

It's only dialtone!!!

The biggest problme I have now is getting a link for an older version of Java for this BCM ver 3.7. Does anyone have a valid link?

Thank you

I keep getting a CERTIFICATE ERROR whenI tryto log into BCM Manger

I can get into the main menu but when I try to go into CONFIGURE on the Customer Installed site that is when I get the Java error and a blank screen.
