Configuring Netgear DG834GT

I have just implemented WEP on the DG834GT. I copied the key to the wireless nic, restarted, but now I cannot connect to the router either via wireless networking itself or for configuration purposes. I guess I've cocked up big time somewhere, but how can I put it right when I cannot connect to the router ?

Likely you copied the passphrase and not the keys.
Copy the four keys.

I did copy the 4 keys. (I made them up and did not use a passphrase). Trouble is that now I cannot connect to the router to change anything. I assume this is because WEP is blocking me.

. See if the router has a reset to manufacturer's default feature using a hardware button.

I have found the reset and can now connect to the router !
