Hi , Thanks Everyone
This is my first post in this forum, And hopefully not my last. Im trying to coinfigure a CISCO PIX 501. I havent delt with CISCO routers, but have found out how to telnet in and get to the configuration screens. I am trying to change my I.P adress my Subnet mask my Defualt gatway and primary and secondary DNS servfer. Im sure its just a matter of a few comnmands, but I dont wanna screw anything up, Because I am switching ISP`s and if I dont switch over properly the first time, and cant get back, then im in trouble.
Thanks
Jamie

If you are accessing the PIX remotely, you are going to have a problem. Once you change the IP address or gateway, you will be kicked out. You will not then be able to change the other paramter. Is it possible to open telnet up to the internal LAN? That way you can have a user telnet in and make the changes.
