Hi !!
Here’s the scenario:
I have a webserver which is running windows 2003, IIS 6 & SMTP service.
It has a public IP address assigned to it - 69.59.X.X
I have a .net application which generates email and sends out the same using the my SMTP server on IP address 69.59.X.X
During the pre-release testing, lots of emails were sent out from this address.
This has resulted in the blacklisting of my IP address 69.59.X.X by
Now that I have hardenend my SMTP, I wish to get myself removed from the DSBL {Distributed Sender Blackhole List}.
As per the website's condition, this is what they have to say..
------------- Quotes ---------------
Please choose an email address to send the removal confirmation to (if none of these addresses are acceptable, please READ THE ENTIRE PAGE before emailing DSBL):
postmaster@69.59.X.X
abuse@69.59.X.X
Please test the email address chosen before requesting removal using this page. If the removal confirmation is lost or deleted you will need to wait 1 week before requesting removal again. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.
Note that postmaster@ is a required address, see RFC 2821, section 4.5.1.
DO NOT EMAIL US TO REQUEST THAT WE SEND TO OTHER ADDRESSES; we will not do so.
------------- UnQuote ---------------
What I require from you all is... How do i configure either of the following 2 addresses on my server:
postmaster@69.59.X.X
abuse@69.59.X.X
Awaiting your replies.
Regards,
Nilesh Roy.
