Configuring McAfee Firewall with ePo

Hi everyone,

Can someone tell me what steps they went through to configure and test McAfee Desktop Firewall through ePo? How you came up with policies and imported them for the network. I am also interested in any problems/issues you may have had.

Also does anyone know a good source for firewall training or desktop security? I want to make sure we have good protection.

The MDF manual is a good start and walks through the basics. You could make use of the standard profiles that are setup within MDF, then customise them as necessary.

Depending on how many users will have MDF rolled out to them you could enable learn mode and set a quite restrictive policy, making changes on the fly, then eventually disabling learn mode.

First step is to find out and add all your "internal" subnets.
