I believe I am making this more difficult than it probably is, but I cannot seem to find out what is wrong. I have FP 2003, installed IIS 5.1 w/o FP 2000 extensions. Downloaded 2002 extensions from MS. The downloaded file saves into my directory, when I run the executable, it installs. When I go to my IIS manager console, select my default web site, tasks, configure server extensions I get this message:

"Unable to create a web for the URL "/" because its root directory, c:\inetpub\ falls below the root of another web in the directory "c\inetpub".

Can anyone explain what I have done wrong? Where should I have installed the fp extensions?

Thanks as always!

Toni

I believe the problem might simply be that you are using the old FP 2000 server extensions management console. To configure the FP 2002 server extensions, try this and see if this is the problem:

In the control panel, go to Administrative Tools. Double click the Share Point Server Extensions Management icon, sorry - I am not recalling the exact name and just had to rebuild my computer, so I haven't reinstalled them myself to get the exact name. It is a web based management, however - meaning that when you click the share point administrator link it will open in a browser. From there you should have all the configuration and management tools/links to guide you.
