I am looking at adding a second ISP pipe to my network for load balancing and disaster recovery, preferably without using BGP4. We have managed to work out a solution for our domain and hosted applications, but need to know how to config my Citrix clients. Is it possible to reconfigure the clients with an alternate IP to which to resolve? IE: IP A from ISP A is the primary, and if it gets no response from IP A it reverts to IP B from ISP B.

How do I do this? I am rather new to Citrix. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

in normal MF18 ICA client you can specify secundary browser address in the connection file, or pn, program neigborhud file.

If you are useing nfuse, or other client, there should be a similar file, cfg...

That is not too much, but I hope it helps!

Cheers

Why not use Nfuse? You can have remote users hit a link on a remote URL and direct them to the new ISP's IP addresses hosting your Nfuse server.

you do not have to touch any client machines and can dynamically make changes.

Also, remember that the Altaddr needs to be applied to the MF servers with the new IP's.

Might want to go with a CSG solution.
