I'm trying to set up Dreamweaver UltraDev 4 to update .PHTML files that use a .DWT file...as if they were normal HTML files. I thought I had it working before (I modified the Extensions.txt file in the Configuration folder so that PHTML will act as HTML files)...but it's not working now.

I want the template to update the documents that use the template file! Please let me know if you know how I can get it to work! - PAINKILLER

Hello pain4u! (not 4me I hope :))

First idea - to apply template to page (Modify > Templates > Apply Template to Page...). You maybe lost link between your page and template, in this case it should help.

Good Luck!

That doesn't work, I already tried doing that.

The template will work if I apply the update manually to each page, but it will not auto-update all of the .phtml files that use the template....I have quite a number of templates & pages, and I REALLY need this to work!

ANYONE KNOW THE SOLUTION?? C'MON SMART PEOPLE! =) - PAINKILLER

I got it working...need to recreated the site cache. I was wondering what the hell it was and finally figured it out on my own! Modifying the extensions file should had done it, but then I forgot to recreate the cache file. :p

But thanks anyways for your helpful effort!

All fixed! ...damn I'm good! ;D - PAINKILLER

This may sound stupid but how do you recreate the site cache???
