I have a new forest setup at my office (mainly for testing purposes) and i am trying to get dns working properly. I have done a dcpromo and installed dns with it. The problem i am having is i can get to network resources by IP but not by name. So...obviously a dns issue. I have tried adding the dns of our primary server to the dns list in tcp/ip settings of the network connection. Also, i have tried adding the same server as a forwarder under the new server dns properties. Neither worked. Any ideas?
