I am trying to configure DHCP Option 184 for use with an IP-PBX

The method is different to Windows and IBM DHCP servers

Typically I would enter the details in hex strings, but the only options which take letters are 'string' or 'text'

I have tried with unsigned integers but if I enter say "A2" it won't accept it.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

We had logged a defect with the iManager DHCP snapin for something very similar. It's an obvious defect that shouldn't have gotten through. That was several months ago, I don't think it made it in SP1. I should follow up with our engineer that was handling that.

As a work around, I believe you can find the DHCP object in ConsoleOne and modify the properties on the "Other" tab. However, it's difficult to troubleshoot and know if its working correctly because of the equipment that option is designed for.

Thanks, I will pass this on
