Hai,

I downloaded patches and I installed on the machine.
It is detecting the card as intel 810 but I am getting a problem in configuring the monitor settings.Mine is a HCL monitor 15 inch monitor non interlaced. VOLVE

I am giving you the settings in /etc/openwin/server/etc/OWconfig

class= "XSCREENCONFIG" name="i810-4"
device="SUNWi810"
res="640x480"
defdepth=8
size="15-inch (38cm)"
board=intel/i810-4.xqa
monitor=mfreq/svga.vda
dpix=53
dpix=53
displaychksum=0xbfe51ec5
hz=60
MonitorManufacturer=Supervga
monitormodel=35.5 khz
dcm=adapter
CLASS=XDISPLAY

list of screens=i810-4

I had given configurations partially.
Tell me whether I can make changes here or not.If not what I can do for this.

Please give me the solution.

you using 'kdmconfig' to set the values, or are you entering them manually?

Hi,

I am using kdmconfig only. If not tell me what options I can select in kdmconfig. I am HCL monitor 15" Volve 4mb ram
It is detecting the card. I tried all the combinations in kdmconfig. But I am not able to configure it.I had seen in
/var/adm/messages ISAdevice asy1 is /isa/asy@1,2f8
xsvc0 at root
xsvc0 is /xsvc

if it knows the card, you can test if it works by (at the bottom of the monitor list) choosing the 'svga' configuration ... yeah i know it looks bad, but you'll be able to tell if it works ...

tell me if this works ...

Hai,

I tried with svga but it is not working. Is anyother way
to make it work.

*huge sigh*

umm ... you've tried with 2 graphics cards, you've told it it's a plain svga monitor ...

i'm guessing that your motherboard is a very standard Intel board, tell me if i'm wrong, and that your cpu is as standard as it gets ...

is there anything wrong with your PC memory? do you have any strange cards in the back, or indeed any ISA cards?

try and make your PC as basic as you can and work your way back up ... see if it can recognise anything ...
