I am trying to configure the switch so that it can interface to a intercom/paging system. The int/pag system needs to see what looks like a regular 2500 set, 600ohm impedance on the switch port (essentially for the port to look like a telephone). The user would pick up the phone and dial an access number for the port connected to the paging system. The paging system would then provide a dial tone, which then the user can dial whatever access number is needed to page through its system. So, to cut to the chase, the int/pag system recognizes the on/off hook of the telephone, but is not seeing the DTMF come through. Any ideas?

If I'm not mistaken, I would need to create a paging route, then assign a trunk to that paging route, and give it an access number, correct?

IF YOU WANT TO DIAL AFTER YOU HAVE ACCESSED INT/PAG YOU NEED TO BUILD THE ROUTE DATA BLOCK AS A WAT AND YOUR TRUNK WILL BE A WAT. THIS WILL ALLOW DTMF TO BE PASSED ONTO THE PAGE ADAPTER
