Hi All,

I've been googling everywhere to try and find a way of setting a cisco voice router to act as a PRI simulator, but not had much luck. I've got a small CCME lab set up with a 2811 and a 1760 which all works ok- I have a 1mft-E1 Vwic that I want to use to connect to a Mitel 3300. I realise that I'll I have to make a cross over cable up which is fine, I'm not to fussed about CLI etc - I just want to be able to set up calls between the two devices by dialling from the Cisco and sending six digits to the Mitel. It's only going to be used to test configs before go live days- mainly just to make sure calls will be routed corrctly on the mitel. Does anyone have a config example or any ideas on how to configure the Cisco end at all? I've got a CCNA and basic experience of CCME so I should be ok to set it all up!
Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved!!

why not setup something link a asterisk and use SIP trunks between the two? No idea how to get a simulated PRI out of a Cisco router.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

We use a Mitel to simulate the exchange for our testing , its pretty easy.
Our Office system is a Cx with 2xT1 E1 cards
One is set as a slave ( connected to carrier) the other is set as a master ( simulates the exchange and we connect it to the customer system whilst setting it up to test the isdn

Theres no reason why you couldnt do that with the cisco , but you may not be able to make the cisco the master.

I know with NEC pabx ( IPS) we couldnt set that as a master ISDN either , Large NEC ( IMX ) and Mitel can be set as master.

I thnik what Billz66 is trying to say is why not set the Mitel to be the master end and then set your Cisco up as the slave end in the same way that you would set up a E1 interface from a service provider on the Cisco. I imagine there would be guides for this all over the internet
