actually, it will go in a batch file that runs from within a VBScript that hides the DOS window from the user. I see some information at the provided link about an inf file and a reg key, but these are for 3com. I will have to test these with Intel. In the mean time, if anyine else has any ideas... I tried netsh, but I couldn't find a wake on lan option.
What I thought you would find useful in the article linked above is that the fellow watched registry changes made when a card was configured manually. At that point knowing the keys and values the process becomes perfectly scriptable.
An excellent freeware Registry Monitor is RegMon, part of the wonderful Sysinternals freeware utility suite:
I'll give regmon a try. I tried to track the changes using Symantec's AI Snapshot. This would have also packaged the changes for easy remote deployment... But the config file was blank. It was really disheartening. I'll give this a shot on monday though. Thanks!
