When I setup a VPN connection to a customer within Windows XP it automatically puts me into a dial-up method instead of a straight IP connection. There is no modem in the machine. I can do the same connection from another PC with the same OS and everything and it works. Problem with this one PC.
 
Delete the DUN entry and re-rerun the Wizard.
Also, check Internet Options, Connection.
 
Hi BBrown42. Did you ever resolve this problem? I'm currently having the same issue.
