I am trying to configure the bluetooth on a 1140E IP Phone.
In the configuration menu, I don't have the bluetooth part to enable it. How do I do to have this menu? I have a CS1000E in Rls 4.5W.
To configure Bluetooth® wireless technology on an IP Phone 1140E:
1. Double-press the Services key.
2. Press 3 on the dialpad to access the Network Configuration menu or use the
Up/Down navigation keys to scroll and highlight the Network Configuration option.
3. Use the Right navigation key to navigate to the Enable Bluetooth combo box. The
current setting is displayed.
4. Press Enter to start the edit mode.
5. Use the Up/Down navigation keys to scroll to and highlight the desired mode.
• Auto – (default) Bluetooth wireless technology setting is received through TFTP
configuration
• Yes – Bluetooth wireless technology is enabled on the IP Phone 1140E
• No – Bluetooth wireless technology is disabled on the IP Phone 1140E
6. Press Enter to select the mode and to close the list.
7. Press the Apply&Reset soft key to save the change and to restart the phone. The
new mode takes affect when the IP Phone 1140E restarts.
You will have to TFTP the new version into the phone before all of this will be possible.
Set the patch up on your TFTP server, now if not already done go into the set programming and set the TFTP server and have the phone restart. It should see the new patch and load up in about 5 to 15 min.
Once it finishes reloading you should be able to follow dlesap's instructions.
Thanks a lot. Now, it is ok.
The first step is the upgrade of the firmware. You can upgrade with the SSE only if you update the "currency.xml" file. After, we can upgrade the IP Phones.
Thanks for your help.
currency file is only an info file to give to the SS, refering the latest firmware avaliable at Nortel. The firmware file itself also have to be upload to the SS
