Configure SMTP on Red Hat- For Insight Manger

Running Red Hat, required to configure the OS to send SMTP packets to an HP Insight Manager Machine for monitoring or server uptime.
I would be grateful on the steps required to configure this service and communitiy strings as required.

i.e Read Only and Read Write strings.
