hello all

how can i configure sendmail to accept all mails from specified hosts, even if they are marked as spamservers (at spamhaus.org for example).

our company has lost some important mails that were sent from a sister company in another country because their server was listed at sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org.

is there a possibility to configure sendmail to relay the messages sent from that host even if the server is listed in a spamlist?

if you need more information do not hesitate to contact me.

thank you for the help.

kind regards.

you need to set up accessdb and add the ip's of your remote servers into the list as "OK" so that you will receive the files, but only if they're for you (if you want to get all mail which may be sent on, you will have to specify "RELAY".

Can you not get them to fix their open relay system though?

when do you use the block-list? is it in sendmail, or in an external app like "MailScanner" ?
