Configure Search And Indexing page

Hopefully an easy one ...

I need to make changes to the searching on my Sharepoint server but cannot find the Configure Search And Indexing page.

It is supposed to be under site settings, but all that is displayed is a 'scaled down' version of the screen captures that I have seen online. I do have administrator priviliges to the site. Is there a way to enable this option?

Hello,

there are actually "two modes" for the index and search. You probably have the simple mode on (which is by default). You can switch to the advanced mode (howver you can't then switch back to simple!!).

I am running in the advanced mode, and find that easier to manage.
