Hi All,
Can anyone give any advice on configuring OWA with SBS2003 Premium where Exchange and ISA are on the same box and the box is multihomed???
I've been asked to resolve some issues from an old IT company that couldn't seem to get this running. Here's the setup.
External URL: remote.companyname.uk/exchange (companyname is made up)
External network
Server IP: 10.2.2.2
Router (GW): 10.2.2.1
Intenal network
Server IP: 192.168.0.5
Certificate in IIS is self signed as remote.companyname.uk
Internally and using the internal hostname of the server you can access OWA fine. Externally we get “Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. The target principal name is incorrect. (-2146893022)” and get the same internally if using the external URL.
I’ve checked the Exchange server publishing rule that was created by the previous admin uses the SBS Web Listener. Initially the Cert name in here was the internal server name which I’m 99% sure is incorrect. I modified this to remote.companyname.uk but still get the error. Authentication methods on the Listener are “Integrated and SSL certificate”.
The “To” tab on the publishing rule has the servers internal dns name. Does anyone know if that’s correct?
I’ve read on other forums that you need to add the external URL to the hosts file with the internal IP address (so in this case 192.168.0.5). I’ve done this but still no joy.
Anyone have any pointers at all?
Thanks
R
