Hi,
I installed Outlook 2003 on the Citrix server for users to use. I am wondering if there is any way to autoconfigure the outlook profile such that whoever logs in to use Outlook gets the right profile to start using Outlook right away instead of having to configure it when connecting for the first time. Thanks in advance.

We use office xp and used the office resource kit's maintenance wizard tool (maintwiz.exe) to configure the office so that it autocreates an outlook profile based on the user's logon id. I'd imagine the office 2003 RK has a similar tool.

This can also be configured as part of the installation with the Custom Installation Wizard (CIW) from the Office Resource Kit. This is how I usually install Office on TS or Citrix:

I usually create an Administrative Installation Point on a network share via "start -> D:\setup.exe /x" chose a network share to host the installation files... You must have an Enterprise Media Kit to do this, i.e. one that you ordered for an extra ~$20 when you purchased your Office Licenses. If you ordered licenses via MSFT Open or Select License agreement, you should have these disks, or you can order them from a VAR.

Apply any Office SP or MSP to this Administrative Installation, so you can recache the installation of any computer that uses these install files, w/o having to update them manually, and w/o access to the install CD.

Use the Custom Installation Wizard (CIW) from the Office Resource Kit (free download from office.microsoft.com) to create an MST that alters the default installation to your liking, i.e. Outlook Mailbox setup, Exchange Server Name, Default Save Location...
